Location & Facilities
The program will be run at Jordan University of Science and Technology, near the city of Irbid. Irbid,
located in northwestern Jordan, is the second largest city in Jordan. Amman, Damascus, and major West Bank cities as well as some of Jordan's most famous attraction sites, including Jerash, Om Qais, and the Dead Sea are within 100 miles of the city. Our program includes three free excursions to prominent attractions in Jordan. Irbid also houses two archaeological museums that could be reached from JUST's campus by taxi.
University of Science and Technology, our host institution, is located about 12 miles from Irbid.
Its modern and beautiful campus sits on an 11 km² area. JUST has 12 faculties (covering medicine, engineering, architecture, nursing, computer and information technology among others) and 150 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. It has a state of the art medical center, the King Abdullah University Hospital, which serves as a teaching and community hospital. Although it is a relatively young university, JUST has quickly become Jordan's most prestigious university--attracting the "best and brightest" students from Jordan and over 60 countries. It is counted among the Middle East premier universities.
