Quality, Affordability
Study Abroad is an expensive but a very important investment in your education. We are fully aware that educational costs have been rising at an alarming rate in the past several years. We are committed to keeping our programs affordable for most students. We invite you to shop around first. We are confident if you "compare apples to apples," you will find that our programs cost $2,000-3,000 less than others. If you compare our programs to those of the well known organizations, then the difference is even significantly more. Our secret is simple--we do not pay double tuition. U.S. colleges and universities normally charge tuition for the home institution as well as tuition for the institution hosting their program. We also do not inflate our costs in order to offer scholarships, as some organizations do.

Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance (TCII):
Sudden illness or injury, death in the family, passport problems,
theft, expulsion from the program, terrorism, natural disaster are
but a few of the potentially many reasons that can cause
cancellation or interruption of the trip and program. Depending on the insurance plan one purchases, the coverage could include program
fees, cost of airline tickets, medical evacuation, baggage loss or damage, and much more. Insurance can protect your substantial investment in the tirp.
The program is not in any way responsible in the event that cancellations or interruptions are voluntary, warranted because of expulsion, or due to events beyond our control. If we make
a decision before departure to cancel the program because of political instability, security threats, outbreak of disease, or natural disaster,
we will refund full amounts paid minus the non-refundable, processing fee and the cost of airline tickets if they have been purchased by PCA. However, if similar conditions obtain while we are in the host country and we make the decision to terminate the program early, we will refund only "uncommitted and recoverable" amounts at our discretion, regardless of whether or not credits are issued.
We do not require students to purchase Trip Cancellation and/or Interruption Insurance (TCII) but we strongly encourage it. Neither we nor anybody else can guarantee perfect conditions. Our plans might be ruined by events beyond our control but there should be no reason to risk our financial investment in addition. Insurance can help you recoup your finacial losses and give you peace of mind.
We do not endorse or recommend any specific TCII provider. Google for "trip cancellation/interruption insurance" and you will get a rather long list to choose from. Compare cost and coverage as you would when shopping for auto insurance, for example. You do not need to over-insure but make sure the plan is tailored to your needs.
